AICS, CULTURAL FEST, AIKYAM- EMBRACE ONENESS

SDM School, Ashok Nagar Mangaluru organized AICS, CULTURAL COMPETITIONS, AIKYAM- EMBRACE ONENESS INTER SCHOOL cultural COMPETITIONS on 10/8/2023 in the school premises.  This was the most awaited day for all the students of the member schools. The participating schools completed their registration formalities by 9:00 a.m. After breakfast all the schools assembled in the amphitheatre for the inaugural ceremony.

The auditorium had been set up for the grand event.  The programme commenced at 9:00 a.m. with a unique idea of Aati Kalenja bringing the good tidings and ushering the celebrations.

Chief guest Mr. Manmohan Naik, Principal of SDM, UJJIRE and President of AICS, Correspondent Mrs Shrutha Jithesh, Principal Mrs Joy Jeevan Rai and the Academic Co-ordinator Mrs Usha Hegde added colour and gave a start to the event. The competition saw participation from numerous schools, representing various cultural backgrounds, creating a vibrant atmosphere of diversity and inclusiveness. Students displayed exceptional talent and skills in their respective events, captivating the audience with their creativity and passion.

The various competitions were adjudged by a panel of expert judges who evaluated the performances based on specific criteria. The valedictory function commenced at 4:00pm. Quoting Arjuna from Mahabharata chief guest Dr. Neetha Kumar K congratulated all the participants and urged them to focus on their goal so that they emerge winners. She felicitated the prize winners. Amritha Vidyalaya were the first runners up and Mount Carmel Central School were declared as the Overall winners.

The Inter School Cultural Competition successfully achieved its objectives of promoting cultural diversity, fostering inter-school relations, and encouraging students to appreciate different cultures. The event not only provided a platform for showcasing talent but also created an atmosphere of unity and mutual respect. True to the caption “Aikyam”- Embrace Oneness the event witnessed a feeling of Unity and happiness in all the schools gathered. It served as a memorable experience, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.

 The programme came to an end with the rendition of the National Anthem.
