On Wednesday, August 28, Sanskrit Day was celebrated at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara School in Ashok Nagar under the leadership of Sanskrit teacher, Mr. Gajanan. The chief guest for the event was Colonel (Retired) Dr. P. Mohan Bhat, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore. In his address, he emphasized the role and importance of the Sanskrit language in preserving culture. The event featured several performances by students, including songs and dances in Sanskrit. The school principal, Mrs. Joy Jeevan Rai, spoke about the purpose of emphasizing Sanskrit education. School correspondent Mrs. Shrutha Jithesh and academic coordinator Mrs. Usha Hegde were also present. The event was hosted by student Sadhvi Shastri, with Pratham Kumble delivering the welcome address and Shivani offering the vote of thanks.
