Anti-Drug Awareness Programme

As part of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking, Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) and Akhila Karnataka Janajagruthi Vedike Trust organized an online anti-drug awareness programme involving 1,011 schools and colleges across Karnataka. On this occasion, His Holiness Dr. D. Veerendra  Heggade, Mathrushree  Hemavathi V. Heggade, Dr. Venkatesh Prasanna S.P., Bengaluru, Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty, renowned cardiologist, Bengaluru, and Executive Officer Shri Anil S.S. addressed the workshop.

The programme was inaugurated at Shri Manjunatheshwara English Medium School, Ashok Nagar, Mangaluru, in the presence of school officials, police personnel, journalists, and representatives of SKDRDP. The speakers highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and stressed the importance of discipline, awareness, and value-based education in guiding students towards a healthy future.

Around 300 students, teaching staff, and project representatives participated in the programme, making it a meaningful initiative to promote a drug-free and responsible society.
